Overview

The Customer Service Representative delivers excellent customer service over the phone and assists with other office duties as described:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answers telephone(s) promptly and direct calls accordingly.
  • Retrieves phone messages and transfer calls as necessary.
  • Handles all correspondence from all mailboxes and distributes accordingly.
  • Treat patients and visitors in a courteous/professional manner.
  • Notifies appropriate personnel of visitor arrival and directs visitor to correct area.
  • Performs clerical functions such as using a copier, fax and other office machinery.
  • Always maintains professional conduct and appearance.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Secures patient information and maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Schedules appointments; verifies times with patients and records in EMR system.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Excellent phone etiquette.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to use office machinery.

· Minimum of intermediate user knowledge of working with MS Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • May require prolonged period of standing, walking and bending
  • Ability to move/lift up to 20 pounds at times

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
