Position Overview:
We are seeking an IT Support Specialist with strong troubleshooting skills across servers, networking, and cloud-based identity management. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver, committed to best practices in IT security and infrastructure reliability. This role includes both in-office support and up to 30% local travel within the Fort Lauderdale / Miami Area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to end-users via phone, email, chat, or in-person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows Servers, including Group Policy Objects (GPOs), print servers, file servers, and server replication.
  • Manage and troubleshoot identity and access issues within Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), including MFA enforcement and policy best practices.
  • Configure and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals for end-users and departments.
  • Perform network troubleshooting, including DHCP, IP addressing, basic routing, firewall and switch management.
  • Implement and uphold IT security best practices, including patch management, secure authentication, and data protection.
  • Set up and manage user accounts, security groups, and permissions.
  • Assist in planning and executing IT infrastructure projects such as upgrades, migrations, and security initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including configuration standards, troubleshooting guides, and user knowledge base articles.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on systems, security awareness, and new technologies.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency and security.
  • Understand how day-to-day tasks contribute to achieving the department’s strategic goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Management of our MDM platform

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows operating systems, servers, and network devices.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID administration, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and conditional access policies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain DHCP, DNS, and IP addressing issues.
  • Hands-on experience with Meraki or similar cloud-managed networking platforms.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices, including endpoint protection, account management, and secure configurations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality within HIPAA and compliance guidelines.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to train and guide users effectively.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Apple products & Android devices.
  • Willingness to travel locally up to 30% of the time.

Education and Certifications:
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Required: Minimum of one of the following certifications:
    • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
    • Any Microsoft Azure certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on IT support experience, preferably with exposure to both desktop and server administration.
  • Experience training end-users and writing user-facing documentation.

Additional Notes:
  • This position requires reliable transportation for travel to local company sites within the Fort Lauderdale / Miami Area.
  • Some after-hours  & weekends support may be required during critical upgrades or emergencies.
